SCORE Client Purchases Franchise

December 19th, 2002- SCORE Plano client, Peter M. Cabaniss has obtained SBA financing to pursue his dream of owning and operating a National Fast Food Franchise.  SCORE Counselor Lyman Bowe assisted Peter with his pursuit of a WingZone Inc. Franchise. Peter has obtained the franchise/territory rights for Richardson and Plano, Texas.  WingZone has nine restaurants opening in the metroplex with an additional six to open in 2003.   When asked about the help he received from SCORE, Peter remarked; "Lyman Bowe and his vast experience with franchising has been a blessing to me. Lyman spent many hours counselling me and his review and input on my Profit and Loss Spread Sheet helped me to make that critical go, no-go decision, I am very honoured to have him as a mentor.  Continued use of Lyman's expertise and other resources available from SCORE is a vital piece of my plan for success."

Additionally, Success magazine placed Wing Zone in its "Gold 200", ranking the company in the top 22 restaurant franchises.

Wing Zone stores currently operate in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Louisiana, Colorado, Washington, and now Nebraska.
